Obituary
Cheryl Renea (Cornish) Lehman, 67, of St. Augustine, Florida, passed away peacefully at her brother’s home in Englewood, FL on October 3rd, 2025, surrounded by family. Born August 31, 1958, in Royal Oak, Michigan, Cheryl was the daughter of Edward J. Cornish and Eunice (Shaver) Cornish, both of whom preceded her in death. She grew up in a large household filled with siblings, stories, and strong family ties that shaped her deep compassion and loyalty.
A graduate of Clawson High School, class of 1976, Cheryl went on to build a long and dedicated career with CVS Pharmacy, where she worked for more than 20 years, many of them as a store manager. Her colleagues remember her as steady, fair, and kind.
Cheryl’s greatest joys came from being with her family. She is survived by her children, Melanie (Chris) and Michael, along with her beloved grandchildren, Chris, Brooke, Adrian, Carter, and Sienna. She also leaves behind her brothers Gary (Michelle), Greg, Jeff (Cathy), and Kevin (Jeanette); her sisters, Karen (TL) and Deb (George); and many nieces and nephews whose lives she brightened with warmth and encouragement. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Dewayne.
At her core, Cheryl was heartfelt, intelligent, practical, loyal, and deeply caring. She had a natural gift for making others feel seen and appreciated. She was known for her kind words, her compliments freely given, and her constant concern for the well-being of those around her.
In her younger years, Cheryl’s outgoing spirit brought light into any room, and even as life grew quieter, her devotion to family and the simple comforts of home remained her anchor. She cherished visits from loved ones and found peace in the presence of those she cared for most.
The family will honor Cheryl’s life in a private Remembrance Gathering by invitation. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Tidewell Hospice, whose compassionate care supported Cheryl and her family in her final days.
Those who knew Cheryl will remember her as a beautiful soul, inside and out, whose love for family and kindness toward others made a lasting imprint on their hearts.
