Biography
Monique Ward Palladino, 55, passed away after a valiant battle with cancer on July 26, 2023 at her home in Warminster, Pennsylvania, surrounded by her loving family. Born the younger of two daughters in 1967 to Carl and Sue Ward, Monique grew up in Austell, Georgia.
Monique attended South Cobb High School, where she graduated a semester early in 1985. She went on to study Barbering at Roffler Moler Hairstyling College.
In 1995 Monique gave birth to her daughter, Cheyenne, who would grow to become her constant companion and best friend. Anyone who knew Monique knew that they shared a bond like no other.
After many years of friendship, Monique married Mark Palladino in 2004 and moved to Pennsylvania where they lived together happily for nineteen years.
Monique had a lifelong love of animals and passionately cared for a variety of pets over her lifetime, including her pet skunk as a child, several iguanas, and many rescued cats. She always had a special fondness for unusual or otherwise unloved animals, particularly black cats, which she opened her home and heart to.
Always an avid reader and an exceptionally talented writer, she wrote many short stories and novels, mostly in the fantasy genre.
Monique is survived by her husband, Mark, and her daughter, Cheyenne. Surviving also are Monique’s parents, Carl and Sue Ward, as well as her sister Sherri Stewart.
