Jojo was a teammate of mine in the PAMAS-PIBNA league and the PinoyGolf group in Massachusetts. My wife Esther, our friends and I developed close friendship with Jojo as she was active supporter of his late wife Flord when she served as President and officer of PAMAS which we belonged to. I visited him in Georgia and later in Tagaytay to play golf with him and his friends. We will miss him dearly.

I met Jojo in 1986 in Boston, Mass. He has been a mentor and a brother to me since. We played golf together, shared a lot of family time, went on trips together and basically enjoyed life as a family. He treated me like one so much so that when he moved to Georgia we followed. His family and mine would hold gatherings almost every weekend up to the time he moved to the Philippines. We would see each and play golf whenever I visited him in Tagaytay and we really enjoyed each others company like brothers.
All of these, I will forever cherish. My family will forever be grateful for the things the Escobars did for us. Rest assured, even when you’re no longer with us, your family and mine will always be one.
I will miss you, my brother!!!

I met Jojo at Riviera Golf and Country Club, i think in1992, since then we have been playing in the same flight as members of the 7:30 group. We where called the Monay Boys and call each othe Pappi. He was a true friend, comrrade, and a brother to me. He is one person who always makes us laugh before, during and even after our round of golf. So sad that i have again to loose a brother that meant so much to me. He is a person that you can count on and very helpful especially to the needy. At times you di not have to ask. Whenever he sees someone who is sick and knew that he/she is financially incapable he always givea assistance, especially to the employees of Riviera. Even me he treats me like a true brother and learned so many things. He is somebody whi “Shares his blessings”. He also taught me how to get calm whenever i am playing bad and throws my clubs and at tomes break it. He will just say the words,” IS IT WORTH IT”? These words i will never forget. Thanks also to mildred who welcomed me in their home and more often ask me to have lunch or dinner with them. They also ask me to join them during their Christmas party, making me feel family. Thank you so much Jojo and Mildred for the love and car. To my brother Jojo, i will miss you but you will always be in my heart forever. Love you Pappi Jojo.
