Willie Mae White of Redlands, California, passed away on November 19, 2025, at the age of 71. She was born on January 26, 1954, in Shreveport, Louisiana, where she grew up.

Willie Mae graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1972 and attended Southern University at Shreveport. She married Johnny Lee Davis Sr. and gave birth to their son, Johnny Lee Davis Jr., on October 31, 1974. Willie Mae and Johnny Jr. moved to Southern California in 1978, where they made their home.

Willie Mae worked at numerous jobs, predominantly as an Information Technology Specialist for Mattel in Southern California.

Willie Mae was an avid quilter and enjoyed gifting her lovely creations to family and friends. She also enjoyed cooking, sharing her family recipes with others, and playing games of chance.

Willie Mae is preceded in death by her mother, Katie Mae Strange Sutton; her father, Arthur Lee White Jr.; and her brothers Joseph White and Jimmy White.

Willie Mae is survived by her son, Johnny Jr.; her sisters: Melvina Sutton Pearson, Rosemary S. Norman-Dyer, Diane Sutton Watson, and Elizabeth Ann Sutton; and her brother, David White.

The family would like to thank The Lakes at Banning Assisted Living and San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital for the care and compassion they showed Willie Mae in her final days.
